Who this is for and how it begins.
Runners across India (and beyond) who want to take on a bigger distance: a first 10K or marathon, a first 50K, the big Himalayan and desert ultras, or international starts like Badwater and Spartathlon. Working professionals, women, runners in their forties or coming back after a break, and runners from small towns are all welcome on this road.
No. Amit coaches runners stepping up to their first 50K as well as experienced ultra runners. If you can dream the distance, you belong here.
Every route starts with a free call with Amit. You talk through your goal race, your week and your questions, then decide what fits. There is no pressure and no pitch.
Use the request form and tell Amit about your goal race and where you are today. Amit reviews it himself and gets back to you to set up your free call.
Yes. Amit works full-time as a scientist and trains whenever the day gives him an hour, so plans are built around your real week, not an ideal one. Between the office and everything else, the miles are found, not handed out.
What you get, and how Amit works with you.
Amit Gulia coaches personally on every tier. Your plan is built from your own Strava data, and Amit reviews and adjusts it himself. There is no algorithm deciding your training.
From your goal race, your week and your own running data on Strava. The plan covers runs, strength, nutrition and rest, and it lives on your trainee platform where Amit adjusts it as you train.
Your plan and calendar, your training log with Strava activities, nutrition and strength work, and vitals and wellness check-ins.
By WhatsApp, by comments on any workout on the platform, on scheduled calls, and by email. He is a message away.
Small-group coaching gives a small cohort a shared plan reviewed by Amit. One-to-one coaching is a plan built for you alone, in three depths, with more review and contact as the depth increases. Amit coaches on every tier.
Why there is a contribution, and how it works.
What you contribute keeps the platform, Amit's time and the systems running, so more runners can be coached well. This is not built to churn revenue. It is built to stay sustainable, keep improving, and still work as a business for Amit.
Each coaching option shows a 'contribution from' amount in rupees, and the exact figure is confirmed on your free call. Consult calls, race blocks and add-ons are one-time; ongoing coaching is monthly.
Yes. A few sponsored or reduced seats are available. Bring it up on the free call and Amit will work it out with you.
After your free call, never before. Ongoing coaching is contributed monthly. Consult calls, race blocks and add-ons are paid once.
Amit's coaching enterprise is currently exempt from GST, so contributions carry no GST line.
Which races, and what they ask of you.
Ladakh Marathon, Khardung La Challenge and Silk Route Ultra; the Great Himalayan Running Festival's Rohtang Epic, High 5 and Hell Ultra; the Malnad, Ooty and Kalimpong Ultras; White Sand Ultra, Goa Ultra and The Border; and Badwater, Spartathlon and Comrades. Pick a race in the coaching filters to see what fits.
Yes. Both Ladakh ultras ask for qualifying finishes, published by the organisers. Tell Amit where you are on the free call and plan from there.
Yes. The altitude and heat protocol is an add-on that sits on top of any coaching. Ladakh's organisers also ask ultra runners to arrive in Leh 10 to 15 days early to acclimatise, and standard-distance runners 7 to 10 days early.
Start with a free call. Amit builds long runs up patiently, gets your fuelling practised before race day, and reviews your training every week.
Race-day crew and pacing support is available as an add-on for selected races, with travel billed at actual cost. Race week itself is planned as part of your coaching.
Looking after yourself while you chase the miles.
Yes. Trainees should have basic medical clearance before starting. Amit coaches training; he is not a doctor, so any health question belongs with your doctor first.
Tell Amit on the free call. Training is planned around what your body can do, and health concerns always go to your doctor.
Ladakh Marathon's published rules include mandatory high-altitude medical insurance in the entry fee and early arrival to acclimatise. Amit's altitude protocol covers the training side; medical advice stays with your doctor.
What you need to train with Amit.
No. Any Strava-connected watch or phone works.
Strava is the main way your training reaches Amit, and it is where your plan is built from. If something does not come through Strava, you can log it by hand on the platform.
Yes. Coaching is delivered online, so runners across India and abroad can apply, across time zones.
